As a member of the Senior Leadership Team & executive representative on the Board, the key objectives of the role include:

  • Holding leaders accountable for performance;
  • Developing and refining a financial plan that operationalises their growth strategy, while balancing cost/unit economics;
  • Leading finance operations: e.g. financial, statutory, board and performance reporting, financial controls, and management of external audits;
  • Improving the performance of the business through a combination of business acumen and process improvement;
  • Managing board governance, including delegations of authority;
  • Leading the delivery of OKRs & KPIs across the business;
  • Managing all incentive plans to align performance to company objectives;
  • Analysing financials, metrics and pricing to improve financial performance;
  • Leading (in conjunction with the CEO) any capital raising or transactional activities;
  • Managing all Company Secretarial, Shareholder and Board processes;
  • Managing statutory obligations for the business e.g. R&D tax incentive, BAS, Income tax, PAYG, work cover etc.;
  • Maintaining an effective control environment including reviewing key reconciliations;
  • Providing tight cost & working capital management and budget governance;
  • Providing detailed management of cashflows & cashflow forecasting;
  • Managing external professional advisers - tax, accounting, legal, etc.; and
  • Creating and managing analytics dashboards (Power BI).

You will need to be an experienced Group CFO and have been accountable for corporate services functions outside of finance and accounting.
